Figlio Velato

Figlio Velato is a sculpture that takes your breath away. It shows a young child lying down, covered by a very thin veil made of marble. Even though it’s stone, the veil looks soft, almost like real fabric. You can see the face and the small body through it, as if the child is just sleeping.

The sculpture was made by Jago, a contemporary artist, and it reminds many people of the famous Cristo Velato, but here, it’s a child. It’s powerful and emotional—when you look at it, you feel a mix of sadness, beauty, and wonder.

Standing in front of it, you might forget for a moment that it’s made of marble. It feels alive. It touches something deep inside, something human. It speaks without words—of love, of pain, of fragility.https://d1z6.short.gy/metroanm
