Imagine a hidden bay in the Sorrentine Peninsula, where the limpid waters of the Mediterranean gently lap a pristine beach. Welcome to Baia di Ieranto, a secluded spot where life runs more slowly and where stress fades away.
The beach is a thin arc of golden sand, lined by towering cliffs that rise majestically out of the sea. The sea is so transparent that you can see the brightly colored fish swimming through the coral reefs beneath. The only sounds you can hear are the soft lapping of the waves, the birdsong, and the occasional squawk of a seagull.
Baia di Ieranto is a peaceful spot where you can escape the noises of the world and relax. It is a place where you can enjoy nature and find your own peace. Swimming in the transparent water, reclining on the sandy shore basking in the sun, or just taking in the breathtaking landscape, Baia di Ieranto will refresh you and leave you feeling alive.
Baia di Ieranto is a secluded paradise accessible only by foot, the closest drivable spot is Nerano center. A rewarding hike is the sole way to reach this stunning bay, making it a truly special experience. The trail is considered of intermediate difficulty, so be prepared for some steps and inclines (6 Km). Remember to pack ample water, as there are no facilities available at the bay. To fully enjoy your visit, it's best to avoid hiking during the hottest hours of the day.
Considering that hiking is unavoidable if you want to reach this location, from Sorrento, one of the best way to reach Nerano is by bus. Take SITA bus from Sorrento to Nerano and exit at Nerano stop.
